Hi,

We are considering using our points towards a oceanview stateroom on the Disney Fantasy in Nov. (only way we can afford it) and was wondering...Can you use your points for one passenger and pay cash for the other passenger? How exactly does it work? Would I book the cash one through member services? How do they determine the cash amount? For example, I went to DCL website and looked up an oceanview stateroom for 2 adults which would cost $1155 per person so would I pay that amount plus taxes and fees? :confused3

Thanks!

You book the entire thing through DVC. And you'll pay the negotiated price for members. When you book. It's usually more than what DCL charges, especially far out.

The only way to get the cash rate would be to call MS.

Keep in mind, if you cancel the cruise reservation any points used would be reservation points and have restrictions on them. Once converted to reservation points, the can not be used for a DVC or RCI reservation.

Also keep in mind to be prepared to pay the full amount in cash at time of booking - plus the $95 exchange fee.
