Using points every other year?

We're are seriously thinking about buying into the DVC but we really like trying the different resorts each time we go. Plus as the kids get older there are many other places we would like to vacation. So we were wondering if you can work it out to use your points every other year? Would that allow you to have more points for 1 single vacation because you can bank for the year you don't use them? If we bought 150 points could we technically have 300 points to use every other year?

Thanks in advance!

Thats what we do.

We bank and borrow in combination to get 300 points (average) every other year.

Same rationale. We like Disney, but we have limited vacation time and want to go other places.

You could go every third year and have 450 points.

DVC reserves the right to limit or suspend borrowing and/or banking. They've never done so, and they'll only do so if things get really out of balance. (It's also likely that they'll phase out borrowing and banking as 2042 gets near.)

I wouldn't worry about it, but just be aware that the current borrowing and banking rules could change.

Once you have stayed in a DVC villa, you may find that other resorts just don't cut the pixie dust.:smooth:

If you time it right you could go once every 4 years and use 600 points (300 at the end of a use year and 300 at the beginning of the use year) Example August Use year- vacation from end of July into beginning of August.
