Using old tickets

We bought 5 day park hopper tickets in January 2003. Unfortunately, we were never able to use them because of an illness in the family. We are interested in donating them to friends of ours but want to be sure they won't have any problems using them. We were told that the tickets would never expire, but would they need to pay the increase in cost since we bought them? And, is it true that they don't expire?

Its true they do not expire and no you do not need to pay extra money, the five days are good to go
