Using my Magic Band

I have an early morning dinning reservation on my arrival day, will my magic band work for my dinning plan even though I won't arrive at my resort until after?

I believe as long as you have done online check in it should work.

Have a backup form of payment in case something is weird. Magic Band payment and DDP connectivity is both related to Disney IT, which has to be considered sometimes unreliable.

Also make sure you have a pin in your MDE account or I guarantee it won't work.

HA! That's for sure. I wouldn't trust that your Magicband would work, although it should if you do online check-in. However, a couple of times when I've gone even though I've done online checkin and gotten my room assignment, the first time I went to use my Magicband there was some error and I had to go to my resort's front desk and re-enter my PIN--even though I haven't changed it in the many years I've been going.

This! Twice on our trip last month my magicband would not work for charging and I had to use an alternative form of payment. Just something to keep in mind!

Why would you not take alternative payment. Those magic bands can get lost, be wishy washy and who knows what else. They have never failed us though.
