Using mutliple gift cards to pay for DDP

I just read on another thread that someone had trouble buying tickets using more than one gift card? I have $500 in gift cards and plan to buy the tickets through Disney over the phone on Tuesday. THe poster said that they could not use more than one method of payment?

My other concern is I was going to buy $500 in gift cards to pay for the DDP, we are renting points. I was going to give the person I am renting from the gift card numbers to pay for the DDP... there will be 10 cards as I can only get $50 cards. Will this be a problem?

From what I have heard (before that other post which I saw as well) is that they cannot take more than 2 forms of payment for transactions over the phone. That used to be the case at the ticket windows as well, although I think it was 3 forms total, but I think they changed that a few years ago.

That post said more than two forms, BTW, not more than one.

For your dining plan, I would get the exact amount from the member - or make sure to confirm it with them - and buy a prepaid card of any kind - Visa, Mastercard - and pay it with that. Do not buy 10 gift cards planning to use them for that.

I'm not sure if it's the same with all purchases made over the phone but when I purchased APs over the phone yesterday I was told 2 forms of payment total- so I paid part with 1 gift card that I have been adding to for several months, and the balance was paid with a Visa.
The CM I spoke to said that they can't take more than 2 forms of payment, period.

The longer the CM is on the phone processing a transaction, the more it costs. That is why they have set a limit. The same restriction applies to your owner and the DDP. I would contact the owner and see if they will accept a personal check, that's what we do for our renters,

I had a renter use seven cards for DDP recently and the cm never questioned it. It actually doesn't take long to process the numbers once the cm is ready.

Now fyi... if you have a Walgreens close by you can get large denomination Disney gift cards there. I think $500 is the largest amount but not positive.
