Using ME from MCO day after arrival?

Hello there! Anyone know if I can do this?? I want to fly down the night before my check-in date and stay at airport hotel, get a good nights rest, then get up the next morning and catch ME to WDW. Can I still use ME to pick me up, or will they only pick me up when my flight arrives?? I know I will not be able to use the luggage service / tags. Do i just tell the CM what time I want to use ME? TIA!! And if you are wondering, I can only get a late flight into MCO so decided to go the night before and no sense in paying for WDW hotel when I have free ones elsewhere

Yes, you can do this. We have done this. We stayed right at the Hyatt in the airport and they took care of getting our bags to DME for us. Got up in the morning, had breakfast and took the bus to the resort. Not a problem at all. Not sure where you are staying, but if you are staying offsite airport you will have your bags with you and they will go under the bus and make the same trip as you do.

So, when the Hyatt takes your bags to DME, they will then show up in your room without any further handling from you?

That's correct. That's what happened for us. My understanding is that is still the way it is happening now. I would want to just confirm with the Hyatt, but all reports have been for this to be the case.
