Using ME for arrival & towncar for departure?

Has anyone ever done this? We are definitely using ME when we arrive in Florida, but we don't like the idea of being picked up 3 hours before departure for our flight home. We're considering getting a van from Tiffany Town Car for our return trip. It would be $65 for a one way ride. If I remember correctly, they pick you up 2 hours before your return flight. Opinions wanted: is it worth paying $65 for the extra hour in the parks (and not having to sit at the airport for an extra hour)?

Thanks for any input!

If they pick you up 2 hours before your flight you are taking a big risk on missing your flight. MCO can be very slow at times and you can easily find yourself still in the security line when your flight departs.

So do the towncar services pick you up MORE than 2 hours in advance now? We haven't used one since 2004, and I'm fairly certain they picked us up 2 hours prior.

If it's 3 hours either way, then of course, we'd save the $$ and use ME instead.

We used a towncar in 2005 and they picked us up 2 hours and 45 minutes before our flight.

one service in particular that i know of does it 2 hours in advance. most do it about 2.5 hours.

i think to the OP, the real question is one hour really worth it to YOU? don't forget your ~25% tips.

You have plenty of time to catch a flight with a two hour pick up. Every company I know of sets you up for pick up 2 hours before departure, unless you request anything different.

PS - Why don't you just pull your wallet out and hand it over. It is not 25% tips.

Most towncar services will pick you up 2 hours prior to your flight. It takes about a 1/2 hour from WDW to MCO, so you get to the airport an hour and a half prior to your flight.
I personally have used ME and the town car service and for the cost the hour in the park was not really worth it. Also, if your driver is late (which our was once) you really have alot of anxiety and rushing to the airport. The hour extra at the airport can be relaxing and you have time to sit and eat a meal before your flight as well.
