I was wanting to purchase a gift card for my 13 yr old daughter to use for her spending money while at IOA. I read an older post talking about "Universal Bucks" and that gift cards must be turned in for these bucks to use them in the parks.

Is this still the case? If so, I would probably be better off just buying the bucks when we arrive at the park, right? Or do the bucks still exist?

You're able to use the gift cards now. Universal Bucks are only given out during surveys now, I believe.

I don't know if the bucks still exist, but I have some advice. We always did gift cards for the kids spending money. Then I realized we always had a card or two with a couple of dollars on it left over. I got an app for my iPhone called "Bank of Mom" and entered the money there and used my credit card or KTTK card. It was easy to check the balance, right at my finger tips, I could add money to the balance easily, and it kept track of multiple kids. It also gives my girls a balancing checkbook experience. It is great.

Yeah...Universal finally got with the program and now treats gift cards as they should. :thumbsup2
