Using GAD + hopper pass to upgrade to Annual Pass?

We've got our GAD vouchers and we've got 5 for 3 park hoppers (mom bought them for us at AAA since she knew we wanted to go). Can we use our GAD vouchers to offset some of the cost of upgrading our park hoppers to APs? That would be sweet!!

It would give us an excuse to come back either in the fall or spring again!

You may be able to use the value of the unused PHs to upgrade (redeem the GAD and upgrade the same day without using the PHs) but you can't use the GAD to offset the difference between a PH and an AP.

Ok, so upgrade before going in and using the PH. Now, to convince dh that we need AP's!
