Using FP from magicband of an absent group member?

One of our family members has to leave the area for one day in the middle of our upcoming visit to WDW, but we've already paid for park admission for the day he'll be gone. Can we use the FPs connected with his magic band, or will the system know that he hasn't been scanned into the park entrance? Anyone know? I mean... we can always give it a shot to see what happens, but I might make a few changes to our group's FPs for the day if we think we'll be able to use his band.

I can confirm this assuming the person hasn't scanned their finger print in yet at the gate. My brother ex's name was on his MB last year due to a computer glitch. Every time he scanned his MB her name would come up. No one said a word and in fact several CM's greeted him with that name. It was actually pretty funny.
