Using expiring points on new contract

Our first contract was sent to ROFR today. Home resort is AKV. We have 75 banked 2011 points that will expire on 1/31/2013. Going by the timelines on this board, I'm expecting us to be able to make reservations around early November, maybe sooner. We would like to get a studio for 5-7 nights in January. Going by history, do you think we will be able to find anything available at that time? Resort and specific dates don't really matter, we'd just like to use all the points. We can also borrow 2013 points to complete the stay if needed. Thanks for your help.

The resort is large and I think if you are flexible you will get the studio you want, no problem. WELCOME HOME!!!

You will probably find something at SSR if nowhere else. Now you can see the importance of the correct UY. In the future try to vacation between February and September to give yourself time to bank should something come up and you need to cancel your reservation.

What happened to your Feb 2012 points are they still available?

Thanks for the response. The 2012 points are all banked to 2013 so can't touch those until February.
