Anyone know how the ESta will affect our cruise?

When we checked in, in the past Disney would check we had our second part of the green form stapled in our passport and that was fine.

I was wondering now with Esta how this will work?

Do we take our print out that says this when we check in?

Your help is appreciated

Thanks

Not sure about that ...but the application for your ESTA will give a number which the DHS will log on their system with your passport number and personal details. So they will have it "tied" together at their end. As far as I'm aware they are still trying to phase out the GVWF and it could take a few more months so you may still get the little "chitty" in your passport.

Bump....

thanks for that - we cruise 1st of Aug so green forms might have been phased out by then.:confused3 #

I have emailed dcl and will let you know what they say.

Just dont want to land at the cruise terminal and they say - oh you need the ...:scared1:

I hate the official side to the holiday

I want to have fun:thumbsup2

I am other way, I just know everything will be OK, never worry about it.
We cruise 22nd August, I will take all docs we have and sort it there. won't be a problem, 1000's will have cruised with new system before us, any problems will be ironed out.
We go in a about 8-9 weeks on next trip, not even looked at ESTA site yet, no rush:goodvibes

Have fun planning, don't worry.

We had that too...

I just found out after went to Dublin and realised that USA didn't take it off just us not the kids.

I went to travel agent last month to ask for advise because I am going to New York in November 09 and they told me not to worry

Can apply esta? but i have not done it yet...

I keep it incase...

I would check that out officially if I were you.
As far as the us will be concerned if you still have the green part in your passport you haven't left the country.
I know a couple that had trouble with the exact same thing.

This is the response from Disney Cruise line

Dear Helen,

Thank you for your diligence regarding your travel documents

Electronic Travel Authorization application and receive authorization
for entry into the United States prior to boarding a U.S.-bound airplane
or vessel.

For more information or to complete the online ESTA application, visit http://www.cbp.gov/ESTA.

Citizens of the following countries are currently eligible to travel to
the United States under the Visa Waiver Program and will be required to
complete an Electronic Travel Authorization application and receive
authorization through ESTA:

--Andorra, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Brunei, Denmark, Finland,
France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein,
Luxembourg, Monaco, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, San
Marino, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and United
Kingdom.

Please feel free to bring your print out.

I hope this information has been helpful. If you require further
assistance in planning your visit, please feel free to contact us.

We look forward to sailing with you!

Have a Magical Day!

So it looks like I bring my print out and I'm set :thumbsup2
