Using DxDP at Kona Cafe - sushi?

Hi all. We have the DxDP for our upcoming stay. I was told that we could sit in Kona Cafe and order from their menu as well as the new sushi place right outside. Is this true? And if so, is it possible to use our DxDP credits for the sushi?

When the hostess sat us, she asked if we'd like the sushi menu as well, so you definitely can order. I believe the sushi menu itself has rules for the DxDP, but I don't know if you can mix and match, if that's what you're looking for. (e.g., a sushi roll for an app, then main course from Kona...)

I wasn't trying to mix-n-match. One child likes sushi and one does not, so I figured one could do sushi and the other could order from the kids menu at Kona. I guess that is a whole other question, now that I think about it. IE, if it is on the DxDP, what is on the adults vs kids menu.

I specifically asked at the sushi bar how they handled dining plan credits, but the answer I got was for the basic, not the deluxe plan. One sushi roll would count as an entree on the basic plan.

We ate dinner in Kona Cafe and asked about using the DxDP with the sushi bar. The answer is that yes you can.

If you are on the regular DDP you can pick something from the sushi menu as your entree.

If you are on the DxDP you can pick whatever two things you want. IE, you can have a sushi app and a sushi entree or sushi as an app and something of the menu for an entree etc.

I see this question asked a lot and wanted to come back and post so we'd have the answer.

My 10 year old and I had sushi and we both enjoyed what we got. It isn't overly adventurous sushi but it is delicious. I can't remember exactly what we ordered. Maybe a volcano roll and the combo plate?
