For the first time I am going to Disneyland.

I am using my points and staying at Disneyland Hotel.

From what I can see on the web, I get discounts on dining and shopping as well as annual passes etc.

I want to get passes to the Toontown Morning Madness. From what I can see from Disneyland.com you have to buy a package to get passes to the event. Does anyone know if you can get passes being DVC since I will not be buying a package? Also I want to take advantage of the early morning entry. If I buy my passes directly from Disney can I take advantage of this?

Is there any other perks at Disneyland for DVC members? I know they do not have DVC resort there yes but if there are benefits there I want to make sure I take advantage of them.

Thanks

DVC members do not get access to ToonTown Morning Madness - However all guests staying at Disneyland resorts do get access to "Magical Mornings" when they are offered, or EMH as FLA folk would say. :cool1: You do need to show your hotel CHARGE SLIP (not just the room key) to get into the Magical Mornings or Early Entry or EMH. (Whatever they are calling it now).

There is NO resort fee for DVC members, and free self parking is available. There is a charge even for DVC members for valet parking, should you choose to use valet.

Stop by any of the DVC booths, or the DVC open house building (adjacent to the DLH) to get your DVC Perks booklet for DLR. This will tell you lots of places that you can get discounts with your DVC card.

Have a great time!

Thank you for the information. I was hoping for the Toontown madness but oh well.

Here's a thread with some info on MM and TTMM. I have done MM, but never TTMM.

We have stayed twice on points at DLR. Once at the DLH and once at the GCH. We are staying at the DLH again in a few days.

When we checked in, at both hotels, we got the "Welcome Home" folder, which included the portable perks some other stuff, to let you know where you can get all the discounts and stuff. I haven't used my DVC card much for discounts as I am a PAP at DL and the discount is usually 15% so I go with that one unless they don't take it.

I go somewhere I don't normally go (to eat or shop) at DL, I'll always ask when I make my purchase about getting a discount for the PAP, being a DVC member, or having a Disney Visa. Then choose which ever is the best deal. The worst they can say is there are no discounts, but it doesn't hurt to ask. :thumbsup2

Have a great trip and if you are going sometime in late May, the GCV display's are supposed to be open!

I would like to see GCV. I will be there May 31st - June 8th so I hope it's open to see. I do not think I will buy there but it will be great to see.

I am so excited for this trip. Thanks for all the information

Does anybody know what happens when the DVC portion of a resort fills up? This will likely become a problem when they open at the Grand Calif. Do they then charge a $95 booking fee for all ressies other than the resort? Would it mean that going to Disneyland on points would always cost you $95 except at the DVC portion? What happens at the Wilderness if you book a room and can't get in to DVC there?
