Can you use duct tape on something outside and it will stay??

I put some on a dryer vent that isn't attached to a dryer to keep the mice out and it's been there going on 2 years now. We live in a very dry climate though so that might be why.

Usually if you can put it on when it is warm outside, and it can get really sticky, it will stay. If it is a little cool out, you may want to put it on, and then warm it up a bit with a blowdryer.

::yes:: it does. Duct tape is like the nyquil of mr fix it.

My family lovingly refers to me as "The Queen of Duct Tape".. :)

If it's the good stuff, it will hold in absolutely any kind of weather..

I've seen people driving cars with duct tape holding on the outside mirrors or keeping plastic in place over a broken/missing window, so I am going to guess that it works outdoors just fine.
