My wife said that she read that there where that only specific restauraunts and places take the Disney rewards. Is this true? I can't seem to find this info, and it's driving me nuts. I've been to the Disney Visa site and looked at the FAQ, and other links, but I can't seem to find the correct link that might show this info. Does anyone have a link?

Also, we have over $1,000 Disney reward dollars and would like to use some of them to help pay off the remainder of our trip, when payment is due in August at the travel agent. Has anyone done this through the travel agent?

You should talk to your travel agent to see if they have ever done that before. Remember that you need to order the card and transfer your rewards dollars to it to use the dollars. You can do that from Chase' web site. Remember that once the dollars are transfered to a card, they now expire. With so many dollars, make sure to only transfer what you are going to spend :-)

On our last trip, we could use our Disney rewards dollars at any Disney owned establishment. The only place we tried that did not take the dollars was the Silhouette artists in Liberty Square. They are contractors for Disney.

I don't know how it works with a travel agent, but one thing you can do when you are actually in Disney is just charge everything to your room and then pay that balance off with the rewards.

We did this our last trip so we didn't have to worry about carrying around two different cards plus some some disney dollars we had.

That is exactly what we did and it worked great!

I think we charged a majority to our room last time (using the room card), but I don't remember if anything on disney property could be charged this way - down town disney, etc.

We used our Disney Rewards card just about everywhere and had no problems. That list isn't complete. Bascially, if you could use a credit card there, you could use your rewards card.

As for paying off your trip through a travel agent with your rewards card, yes, you can do that too. Just give her number, exp. date and let them know it's a rewards card. I did that as well.

Also, if you have to return something or get a refund....it will go right back on your card. No problems or issues with that at all (we had our entire meal from Boma's refunded)

We staed at Shades of Green so we couldn't chare to our room, but if wwe do stay at a Disney hotel, I'd probably just charge everything to our room and pay it all at once.

i charged to my room card for everything and then used my rewards card to pay off everything (along with gift cards i had and my credit card for the rest). this way i knew exactly what i was spending money on. it was a great way to keep track of everything.

a tip though that we found on this vacation. check to see what the cap on your room charge is. we found this out after trying to put dinner on our room charge and it being denied.

Thanks for your tip. Never knew/thought about a CAP!

sure thing! my parents didn't know about the cap either (and we've been there probably about 20 times!). there's was around 500$, but with 4 people eating 2 times a day for 7 days, you don't realize how quickly that 500$ adds up! all they had to do was call the main desk and they tacked on another 500$ allowance. my mom thinks it's a safety thing so that in case anyone gets ahold of a lost card they don't charge a fortune to your room.

Has anyone used/know if applicable DDRDs at the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival? I would presume not, but would love to be proven wrong
