Using Disney Gift Cards

I was wondering if you can pay for meals, etc. using Disney gift cards. My daughter's school sells gift cards and a profit goes to the school. If I bought them, can they be used for our character meals? I'm gonna spend the $$$ anyway, my daughter's school would benefit and that's less cash I have to take.

Yep, they can be used for tickets, food , merchandise and DLR hotel front desk charges.

I think the only place they can't be used is the outdoor vending carts.

I concur! I used mine everywhere, except the carts and the Arribas Bros glass shop in New Orleans Square.
