Using Disney gift card at WDW?

HI. Thanks for reading. I couldn't get search.

I wanted to get my sister something like Disney Dollars like I had when I last went (which was too long ago). I saw Disney gift card said it could be used at WDW. Has anyone done this and is it only at the gift shops or could she use it for a snack/meal if she wanted to?

Disney Gift cards can be used at most places on property. The exception would be any non-Disney owned restaurants/stores (mostly at DTD) and any small carts that do not have cc capability.

I've used them for food, merchandise, tickets, and the hotel room.
