Using Disney Designs

Hi-Maybe this is the wrong place for this question-so please feel free to move it!

Is it okay (from a legal standpoint) to use Disney characters and designs on a T-shirt? What are the restrictions?

I am guessing it is okay, since there are thousands of online threads dedicated to designs-just want to be sure that what we are planning is on the up and up!

It is ok to create DISigns for personal use. It is NOT, however, ok to sell anything that would be copyrighted by DISNEY without their permission. Clearly Zazzle has their permission. There are, however, many who sell stuff online (like on Ebay) that are clearly doing so illegally. In fact, they have even been known to steal DISigns from us DISigners and offer them for sale. WRONG WRONG WRONG!!
