Using Dining Vouchers Elsewhere?

We are getting free premium dining vouchers with our Costco package and I was wondering if anyone has ever used their vouchers for another restaurant other than Ariel's/Goofy's. We just did Ariel's lunch and Goofy's dinner back in June, so I was thinking maybe I would use them towards the price of a meal at another restaurant in December. I remember that our vouchers from June said something in the fine print like "...value not to exceed $38 if used any any other dining location..." or something along those lines, and I was just wondering if anyone out there had ever tried this and how it worked.

You should be able to use them at any Disney restaurant in the park or resorts. If your meal is less than $38, you will not get change. If it is over, you will have to pay out of pocket.

Thank you for the response. That's what I was hopinging - maybe putting them toward a nice dinner at Blue Bayou, Napa Rose of Steakhouse 55 as a "Christmas Dinner" thing. Now which restaurant is the real question....

How about Storytellers? They even have characters at bfast. Otherwise I like the idea of using them towards Napa Rose or BB, gotta get your $$'s worth right? Another thought, it might be possible to use them for more then one meal, let's say you go to Minnie & Friends character bfast (our fave by the way) and it's $33.00 for adults and $23.00 for kids (no clue if those prices are right, I'm just making them up), your voucher is "worth" $38, so I wonder if you could put 2 of your $38 vouchers towards your meal, thus making your total due $36 instead of $112......then you could use the remaining 2 vouchers towards another meal......that probably won't work tho, they'd probably make you pay full price for the other meals and you'd lose the $5 difference.

That's a great idea - it's worth a shot, right? I'll ask when I call the dining line. Only 4 more days until we make our dining reservations!

I called and you can use them but only at some locations; it would works like a typical dining voucher up to its stated value. She said it's best to check when you make the reservation that the dining location does that. Steakhouse 55 is one of them (that's what we're going to do).
