I was just looking at the dinner menu from the Le Cellier Steakhouse and my mouth began to water when I saw they had a 20oz Grilled Prime Rib-Eye Steak. Now, it's pretty pricey at $36.99. My question is, will the Dining Plan cover that or do I have to fork up more $$$ for it. Is there a limit (price wise)as to the entree/main course you can get? This will be our 1st time using the dining plan and we want to have all bases covered. Thanks in advance!!!

Were you looking at the menu on AllEarsNet? I couldn't find the $36.99 prime rib eye steak anywhere on that menu....

From all I have heard you can get an appetizer, entree and dessert, whatever you choose. So enjoy your steak! Makes me hungry just reading about it.

Yeah and I'm looking forward to that $18 dessert at the ESPN Club... :cool1:

Hey guys!

Sorry to burst your bubble but we don't serve that at Le Cellier anymore... :( I biggest chunk of meat is now the 14-oz New York Strip Steak.

Trust me, if you're on the DDP you won't leave hungry ;)

We ate there three weeks ago and the ribeye is no longer on the menu, darn it! DH had the NY Strip instead and didn't care too much for it, but DD's prime rib and my BBQ glazed filet were to die for.

Oh No, All these so-so reviews really make me want to change our ADR for this place, we are planning on ordering the NY Strip.

That is what is so fun about the dining plan-- you pick all the nice restaurants just to be sure you get your $$s worth!

Just have to be careful to see which restaurants you have to use (2) of your dining days just for (1) meal.

A few years ago my wife and I went to LeCellier the very first day the Maple glazed BBQ filet was on the menu (our CM suggested it as they had been given a taste testing prior to the roll out) and it's the only thing we've ordered there since. We always used to go for lunch, but a year or so ago they moved the BBQ filet from the lunch to dinner menus. We now go for dinner only. It is absolutely the best steak I've ever eaten.

We were just there and as other's have said they no longer have the ribeye. But I had the filet with the maple BBQ and it was possibly the best steak I have ever had. My Dh had the other filet, which he loved. The dining plan was excellent for Le Cellier since our bill was $167.00 (3A,1C and 1 2yo)! It was the best food we had at WDW and will be going back there next time. Oh and we also celebrated our 10th anniversary and they gave us champagne and a magical moments certificate signed by the staff.

Ps. Ask for Ty as your waiter, he was wonderful!

We have our ADR for then end of May. I think that hubby will love the BBQ Glazed fillet.
We can't wait to try it.
These boards are so full of information...The only thing is, they are so ADDICTING...I can"t get any work done. ;)

We had dinner here in July!! It was one of our favorite places and cant wait to go back on our next trip!! The dinnng plan covered it all!! I dont eat steak but the chicken was very very good. Hope this helps.

NOOO!! Don't change your ADR for this restaurant! I recall this being one of the more difficult ADRs to secure and you have one. The food at Le Cellier is seriously awesome - I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Give me the cheese soup & no one gets hurt! I've noticed that many of the restaurants have eliminated some of their more pricey items over the last year (probably due to the dining plan) and have placed restrictions on sharing "sampler" dessert platters, etc.

That said, don't think you go wrong if you're hearty eaters.

Originally, LeCellier was 2 TS & we tried Yaughtsman. Were happy to return to LeCellier in Dec.:thumbsup2

We love Le Cellier and eat here on each visit.
To further answer OP question: As others have said the 20oz steak was removed this summer. The reason they gave was the added time this large a piece of meat took to cook. There are only 2 (I think) restaurants at DTD that charge a surcharge over what the Dining Plan allows, and they are clearly noted in the brochure. Teppenyaki in Japan now considers their lobster an Add ON and it is not included in the plan. At all other restaurants you are not limited as to your entree. You can order anything on the menu. If there is an item which is an "Add On" such as add shrimp, then these add ons are not included in the Dining Plan.
Check out the menus at allearsnet.com as well as those here. The allears site has the date of the last update to that menu. Remember things always change and they may be a bit different than the menus you see online.
Have Fun!
