Is this following situation correct?

We will be using the free dining plan for our sit down meals (dinner and desert) and the suggested tip will be 18-20% which we can either pay in cash or charge to our room card. We also may have apetizers that we can pay for using our DDE card. Now we should get a seperate bill for that with a tip of 18% automaticly added to the original price and then the 20% deducted from that amount.

Now there will be no tax on the dining plan food but there will be on the DDE card purchases.

Is all that correct (please say yes)

Thanks

Since you are using the DDE to pay for any item(s), the 18% service charge will be automatically assessed on all checks - the DDE check, plus it will not be optional (i.e. amount discretionary) on the DDP portion of your order.

The 20% will be deducted from your DDE purchase, then the 18% service charge will be assessed based on the full price of your DDE items. Sounds nit-picky, but there's possibly a slight difference in the final amount compared to the way you show the formula.

And, yes, there is tax on any DDE purchases, but tax is covered on the DDP part.
