We overbooked one TS credit b/c DH & I are having a romantic dinner at Narcoossee's (which also will give DS & DD 1 leftover child TS credit each.)

We'd like to pay 1 adult TS meal OOP at the cheapest restaurant we booked....I'm assuming it will be a buffet(?) We try to maximize the plan & eat the best/most expensive items on the menu. By looking at our ADR, can you "estimate" which meal we should pay OOP???

Also, what do you suggest we do w/ the 2 extra child TS credits? I already checked...if you order pizza for room service, it takes 2 adult credits.

O'hana's breakfast w/ Lilo & Stitch
--50's PrimeTime
--O'hana's dinner
--Coral Reef dinner
--Akershus breakfast
--Le Cellier dinner
--Tusker House breakfast w/ Donald
--Liberty Tree Tavern dinner
:) Thanks in advance!

I would pay OOP at 50's Prime Time. Maybe you and your DH can split a meal so it won't cost too much. My second choice would be the breakfast buffet. Last year we paid OOP at Sci Fi. My husband and I split an appetizer and we each got soup. THen our 2 sons split a kids meal. It worked out well. Have a great trip!!

That's a great idea!! Thanks. :yay:

I have a question, though....can we (DH & myself) order off of the kid's menu somewhere--since we'll have those 2 child TS credits leftover? I guess that kind of defeats the purpose of eating at a fun/delicious restaurant, if you're just going to eat a kiddie meal!

You should pay for you and DH at 50's PT. Let the kid's credits be used up there. Just tell your "aunt" that's how your want your ticket and it will be fine. We did that for breakfast at Cape May Cafe and it all worked out great.

Forgive me, but I'm confused.... It couldn't possibly be the fact that I'm spending like EVERY waking minute doing research for my trip!!!! I'm getting more & more obsessed by the day! :rolleyes1

You mentioned PAYING at 50's PT and that the kid's credits will be used up there....but the kid's will have 1 leftover credit each (since we are going to one restaurant w/out them.) So they couldn't possibly be used up there, unless DH & I are able to use the kid's credits. Does that make sense? Thanks!!

How many nights will you be staying? That will help us to help you better.:thumbsup2

We will be there 10 days/9 nights, so only 9 ts credits each.

We have 10 ts credits scheduled for DH & myself, and only 8 ts credits scheduled for DD & DS. Thanks for your help!

You can use your last 2 TS for your kids at sci fi. My kids loved it inside. They can just get kids meals and you and DH don't order anything. Can you get TS to go anywhere???

Get the kids food...and don't order anything for us??? Are you kidding? :rotfl: We're there for the food....watching someone eat is not an option!

Joking! That's a wonderful idea. I'll check our itenerary & make ADR for them very soon! :thanks:

Those kids TS credits only cost your about $5-6 total, so if you don't use them I would not sweat it.

My math: you pay $10/day for a child if they eat a $4 kids CS meal and a $3 snack that leaves $3 for the day's TS meal. If you choose to take them to a TS place for the purpose of using their credits it will cost you more then $6 for anything you eat, plus you'll tip on the entire meal. Disney comes out ahead on the deal (you're forking over even more cash) and you actually lose unless its food you really wanted to pay OOP for.

I would not pay oop for your first meal.

Things happen. Plans change, even for the Disney ocd planners this is true. Sometimes you just don't feel like eating (normally an unthinkable thing for me, but happens all the time at WDW, it might be those Mickey Head ice creams).

So I would just wait and see if you really need to pay oop or not. As for the extra kids credits, I second the Sci-fi idea. Another good one is Beaches and Cream, since the adult meals would be fairly cheap if you did end up wanting to go oop for them.

Thanks for all the advice...there's a lot to consider!! Sci Fi sounds interesting, although I read some yucky reviews on allears. But you think my DD7 & DS5 will really enjoy it? Keep in mind, they're "chickens" & can't even make it through many Disney movies, such as Snow White! Is it scary in there?

About Beaches & Cream...did I hear/read correctly that they don't accept ADR? I even had a CM (when I was deciding on ADR's a while back) tell me that Beaches & Cream was only CS since it didn't accept ADR's. I assumed she was new (b/c I really thought it was a TS credit.) I really appreciate all the input!
