Using Credit Card Points to Book Hotel

We are planning on visiting family in Florida in March, and will probably do a quick, 2-day trip to Disney. We usually stay on-site, but this time, we are looking at using credit card points to book a hotel, likely either the Holiday Inn Disney Springs or the Doubletree Disney Springs. I noticed that those hotels have the 30-minute early entry to the parks. Is it easy to link those reservations to My Disney Experience?

Also, which of those hotels would you recommend? It will be a party of 4 (3 adults and 1 kid). We probably won't use many of the hotel amenities, as most of the time will be spent at the park. We will have a car, so we will likely drive and not use the hotel transportation to the parks.

As you probably know, Holiday Inn is an IHG brand and Doubletree is a Hilton brand. I have not used either of those to book rooms at Disney, but i have used Marriott several times and never had any issue linking it. I have to think this is a pretty common occurrence, and would be very surprised if you had any major issues.

no problem using points at these places,and linking to mde has never been an issue. I prefer the holiday inn to doubletree personally

Book the Hilton buena vista palace or Hilton both are right next to the Disney springs which is great for walking. If you have car then double tree is ok. Standard rooms on average I believe bigger at double tree but they do have larger suites at both. I’ve done both and easy to link. However even though early entry is given, none give you the evening deluxe hours and you cannot book the multi pass rides a week out like on property. You only get three days and some rides will be sold out at that point
