Using credit card on smartphone

Do you feel comfortable using a credit card to purchase something on your smartphone? I haven't done it yet, and I don't know if there's some kind of security I need to download first? You can tell on a computer if you have a secure site, but I haven't noticed that anywhere on my smartphone.

On my Iphone I can see the URL if I want to (you pull it down from the top if you are on Safari). And if I were purchasing something on my iPhone, it would probably be from a known site anyway (like iTuens, Amazon, PayPal, etc). I'm not particularly worried about credit card security when I buy things online.

Are you taking about linking your credit cards to the iphone like you can do in Starbucks or online shopping? I done online shopping but I will never link my credit cards because if I lose my phone I wouldn't want anyone to have access to it.

No, I'm just talking about buying an app or downloading and buying a movie or something like that.

I have an Iphone, so I feel comfortable using Itunes to download an app (I wish they didn't make it so easy!!) and I also use the Starbucks app (again, SOOO easy to buy coffee!!) I don't know if I would use my card to purchase something from a place I've never heard of, but I've used it for reputable places.
