Using AP for ressie if it expires after I arrive??

We are planning a trip back to WDW Dec of 2004 and my AP pass will expire the 19th. If we check in before then and I have chosen not to renew the pass will I still be able to receive an AP discount if it is offered? I have not yet decided if I will re-new and if I don't and there are only one or two days left after it expires I would simply buy a regular hopper....they never expire and I could even get one for a day or two extra if I wanted. I just wanted to be sure I could use the AP for any (hopeful) discounts for rooms. Thank you for any help here!

I believe (but could be wrong) that as long as the AP is valid when you check-in, you should be ok. I would call CRO or even the resort you're looking to stay at to confirm their policy regarding this.

I would definately confirm their policy. You never know how they will enforce policy. We all know how quickly things change at Disney.

I would hate to see you miss out on a code if one is offered because you counted on the AP.
