Using an expired ticket?

So we had to cancel a trip and we had tickets that were non-refundable. I can't "see" the tickets in the app or online, so can't figure out how to use them for a future trip. Anyone know how I can do it without calling?

You will need to call. You’ll have to upgrade them to the new date(s), paying any extra if needed; be aware no refund if your new dates are less expensive.

So - We had 2-day park hoppers for 2 people. Now we need 1-day single park for 3 people. Will that even work? Price is about the same, but not sure if cheaper or more expensive. I thought the credit was just money to use on future tickets. That sounds like not the case, which is super irritating. And I don't have hours to sit on the phone because of work, can they do it over chat?

Ticket "upgrades" (and that is what Disney considers it when changing from 1 ticket to another) are typically a 1:1 exchange -- 1 old ticket of any length for 1 new ticket of any length. You may certain ask to exchange 2 2-day hoppers for 3 1-day non-hoppers, but just be prepared they may not allow it. You can try chat, but since your request will need any override of some sort, they may direct you to call. I agree the long phone waits are ridiculous.

So I sent a message in chat at 11:30 this morning. They responded to my chat at 7:30 this evening saying I had to call. I mentioned that my job doesn't allow me to sit on hold for hours at a time and she had me fill out a form for a call back. We just received a call back at 8:30, so not bad. They will let us use the amount paid for the prior tickets toward whatever ticket purchase we want. We still had $30 left and now we are on hold seeing if he can add the photo pass. I'm sorta wishing we had just eaten the $30 since we have been on hold for almost a 1/2 hour now. I really hope he is coming back.

Oh so sorry - I just realized that I posted the ticket question in the totally wrong place. I'm usually on the cruise board and we added one day after the cruise, so it just ended up here. Thanks so much for helping me out!
