Using A Spirograph?

Hi. Yous all remember that kids toy? Our two DD's are now teens and how many of those did I get rid of? So off to Walmart I went, and $10.00 spent.

Well I thought they would look cute done up into cards. Now I feel like a little kid again.

I went to a scrapbook fair in Jan and one of the stalls was selling them! I almost bought one but talked myself out of it as my mum got one and I can just borrow hers. That reminds me, I must tell her to get it out next time I go over!

OMG I loved Spirograph! What a cool idea! I was thinking yesterday how much I miss my Fashion Plates too . . .

I still have my spirograph and super spirograph from when I was young. I have thought of using it for scrapping, but haven't done it yet. I have to find pens to fit into the holes, as the ones I have tried recently don't reach the paper.

I seem to remember that was why we got rid of it (that and the fact the box kept coming apart and showering tiny wheels over the floor ), once the pens ran out it was really hard to find anything else to fit, and pencils were no good as if the leads were long enough to reach they would break from the pressure.

How about using an embossing tool to emboss with it?

Hi again. I once picked up a huge pack of Gel Pens at Costco and they work perfect. I even tried my glitter scrapbook pen over top and ,NEAT.

Thanks for the ideas, ladies! I have the gel pens from Costco, I will give those a try. And Lindababe, I think my boys use one or two of the ones you mentioned, I'll see if I can steal one from them. Sould be easy this week as they have no school. MazdaUK I know what you mean about the little wheels all over the place, used to drive me nuts!
