Using a discount after booking?

Does Universal allow you to add a discount (like AAA or annual passholder) to the reservation after you've booked the room? I'm not sure what discount I will go with but I want to secure the room before I decide.

Yep, I also booked my room (Nov.'09 RPR Queen Club) and am now adjusting rates as the discounts come in. The only thing to remember is that you have put one night on a credit card, and the card is charged now. You can still cancel though.

I booked first at rack rate and then changed to AAA when the rate came out. Now I'm waiting for supersaver (not yet out for Nov. '09).
