Using a deluxe dining credit for lunch at BOG question.

I see online in one spot where the soups are eligible items and other spots where they aren't.

We can't get into BOG for dinner but are going to shoot for lunch instead. Considering our 8 days in the parks, we have the extra credit to burn at BOG on their lunch.

My questions are:

If I use a deluxe dining credit at BOG for lunch will I get entree, beverage and dessert only or will I also be able to get a bowl of soup as well for the same credit?

If not, then why is the soup listed? Is it a snack credit at that point?

Thanks in advance!

The bowl of soup would be the appetizer for the DxDDP credit.

You don't get apps at QS locations, even on the DXDP.

OP - when using a credit from the DXDP as a QS credit you will get exactly what everyone else does... Entree/drink/dessert. Apps are for TS credit usage.

You can see a description of what you get for your credits on the plan on the Disney website under 'dining plans.'

Can anyone tell me if turning a TS into a CS is allowed? We are on Free Dining, we don't want to be tied down to ADRs everynight. If this is allowed, is it posted on the WDW site? Thanks a bunch! :thumbsup2

Yes, you are able to us a TS credit as a QS. I don't know if it is posted on website.

Yes. You can turn any TS into any CS.

You are losing a lot of "money" when you do that, so I wouldn't really recommend it.

In my case, we got FD and upgraded to DDxP so we have 21 TS credits to spread out over 8 days.

We have one credit to waste on a CS and BOG seems like the place to do it if we are going to.

Generally when you convert TS to CS you only get what would be entitled under the CS credit, so you lose the 'appetizer' feature of the TS credit as well.

I was asking about BOG because it's a bit confusing on the websites for lunch. Some places show the soup as part of the dining plan and others don't. I wasn't sure if there was a special exemption there or anything because they do TS for dinner.

Best I can figured, the soup *might* be a snack credit at lunch. Still no confirmation on that though.

I know Cupcakes are, we used snack credits for them last trip.

Thanks!!! Now I can worry about something else. :rotfl:

I can confirm personally that the soups are indeed a snack credit at lunch. When we ordered, DH ordered the main entrees, drinks and desserts and I placed a second order containing just the soups. (Not sure if it still has to be done separately when using snack credits, but it had to be done that way back in February.)

According to the snack thread, the onion soup and the potato soup are snack credits.

I was going to post the same thing. ;) Soups are a SC at many locations.

Also, as far unless it has changed, as PP posted, when you go to a CS location you will have to place separate orders if you are using both CS credits and SC.
