Anyone have ideas for what to use old baby wipe containers for? I hate to throw them out I feel like I could use them for something but can't think of anything?

I have used them for:

- socks when my kids had little feet...kept them nicely together in one small spot...

- jewelry/hair things for my daughter

- "collections" for my son, i.e. little plastic dinosaurs, cars, etc. that need to be contained or kept together

- packing small items in a suitcase...keeps it all together very nicely and nothing gets crushed

I always keep the ones with the designs, i.e. Winnie the Pooh seasons was a big one a few years back...and then they look cute in the kids rooms...

The ones I am talking about are the ones for 80 wipes...like Huggies...in the hard container. I have also reused the 16-wipe size to keep extras in the car, even though my kids are long past the diaper stage...come in very handy for snacks, messy playgrounds, or whatever...I just refill them from the big packs.

Hope this helps you think of some ideas!!!

I use the large tubs for small toy parts (DD got the minature Tinker Belle house w/ all the fairies & little animal friends), or puzzles that have lost their boxes (I put them in quart ziplocl bags then store as many as I can in a container), and I also use one to keep all DD's hair excessories (barrets, clips, scrunchies).

I use the small, thin diaper bag ones for coupons, travel pencil case for the kids, and actually I still keep one with wipes for ice cream in the summer or lolly pops from the bank - pretty much any icky sticky mess.

Hope these ideas help!

Organizing crayons, colored pencils, markers.

Keeping things like paperclips, rubberbands, staples, etc

Hair accessories

UPCs for proof of purchase for rebates

receipts

I used them for crayons, markers, paints, brushes, etc. I haven't had to use baby wipes in a long time but I still have all the kids art supplies stored in those containers.

ETA when dd was a baby 10 long years ago I used the wipes whose containers were like big Legos. I loved those because you got a *toy* when the wipes were done. I remember we had enough to make a her a little fort in the living room.

we also use them for art supplies, as well as hot wheels and other small toys. my mom has used them to send things. she just wraps it in a brown paper bag and writes the address. its hard side ensures that whatever is in it won't get crushed.

bring them to your local school. They will be put to good use there....
I know art teachers can use them as well as other teachers for various things.. including projects and supply holders for students..

I used mine to store medicine and first aid type stuff.

Me too, I keep all my band aids, etc. in one.

I also use one to keep all my CC receipts, deposit slips, etc. until I get the account statements.

I use them for crayons, markers, etc. Also use for a plastic bag dispenser. I pretty much use the reusable totes now, but I still get (and need) plastic bags every once in awhile. Works great! You can use them for a ribbon dispenser for all the wrapping paper ribbon, too!

And these other suggestions are great, too! I'll just have to use some of them :)

When I had the child care center, our older 2's classroom used them to make sorting game. We put a different shape or color on 3 or 4 of them and the kids found different small items of that shape or color around the classroom to add to the box. The kids loved it.

We also used them for storing everything under the sun that was small enough to fit in them.

I've heard of people using them to store plastic bags in and then keeping the box in their car. Then you can just pull out a bag for trash, dirty clothes, etc.

I keep mine in the laundry room and any spare change or dollars will go in that container and then when the kids need lunch money, ice cream money or whatever it's right there.

Wow so many great ideas, thanks so much! There were so many great ones I wish I had more empty tubs! Thanks again

I have one in my closet that holds those tea lights and then another one for the candle tarts.

My daughter has REALLY little toys (like little barbie accessories) and I Have 2 nice ones filled with those. (Huggies Mickey Mouse Designed ones)

I have one filled with receipts

and finally....my final one.....is my Disney bank :lmao:

Why buy so many new tubs when you can just buy the refill packs of wipes:confused3. I've had the same tub for atleast 6 years. I just wash it out every so often.
