Yesterday evening at 6:30 PM, in the middle of Aug. , it was 69 degrees here in middle Tennessee, this morning at 3:30 AM it was 59,, right now it is 73 degrees. This has been a absolutely beautiful summer that we haven't experienced in the 28 years we have lived here.
If this summer is any indication as to what is to come this winter, we are gonna freeze to death in Tennessee this winter!




Some one really should tell Al Gore about this.

We are experiencing the same thing in east TN. It has been wonderful.

Well, on my weekly update on our Oct fort chances, I would say we are up to about 35%

Erica got a day of OT, and her second job scheduled her for 3 extra days next month! I even may have a couple little side woodworking jobs to make a buck or 2 to help!

Nothing off completely, but a good sized piece from the side of my thumb that Frank would have found useful as fishing bait. I went to the office and put some surgicel on it, but I had one particularly stubborn bleeder and, not having a Bovie, went to the ER and had a buddy of mine barbecue it. Looks like crap now, but is functional at least.

Turn off the hearing aids before walking outside right now. Time for the air show at the base this weekend and the Blue Angels are practicing this afternoon. The T-Birds weren't right on top of us like this last year, but I swear today it sounds like we're on the business end of a strafing run. The dog was raising hell every time they came over. DW brought her inside and she ran straight to her kennel. She's sitting in there growling at the door every time the jets come over the house. I guess she's protecting us from the US Navy.
