Used codes, still no great May car rental rates!

Right now, I've got $191 inc. all taxes for 9 days (May 13-21) with Dollar, compact car. This is about 85% more than I've paid the past 2 years!

Has anyone found a really great rate? Any opinions on whether or not some will be out soon?

I tried so many codes and not one worked. I went back to the site about 3 days in a row and while one of my codes was getting rejected a "city special" add popped up along the side. I got a good rate for the last week in May that essentially is $20 plus tax more than I have paid for the last 15 years. I usually get a mini van for a base rate between $169 and $199. I got $217 with $35 per extra day. Keep trying.

Right now I have a compact for May 27 - June 5 (9 days) for $192 through Dollar using KISS2. We are flying into Sanford. I sure would like to find something better. This just seems high. I thought that rental cars were cheap in Orlando.

I tried all of the codes on www.rentalcodes.com None of them worked. It was essentially a pop up that appeared on the Dollar web site from Dollar. I did find a Thrifty rental for the same price as the "city special" or what ever it was from Dollar. I just checked my DOLLAR reservation and the promo code says RWUW8. GOOD LUCK!

I got an intermediate with Dollar with the KISS code for $144 total, 6 days. April 21-27. I miss the days of $110 with National Emerald Aisle.

KISS2 discount with Dollar is the best price I have been able to find. I have checked many other companies and discount codes but that is the lowest so far. It gives me a price of $303 for a convertible for 10 days.
