we already own August UY at BWV. Use for May and OCT trips. with new banking rules I guess AUG UY is not good for May trip.
What UY's should we get if we don't travel to wdw in June ,july, aug or sept

September UY would work a little better for you than August since you would have until April 30th to bank your points. That would allow you to cancel and still bank points from both your October or May trip.

But, having two UY's will generate a new member # and they will be treated as two separate contracts. You will not be able to combine the points at the 7 month (or 11 month if same resort) without completing a transfer. And doing this would count as the one per UY you are allowed for each contract.

Of course, if you are considering selling the August UY to get a new contract with a better UY, then I would go with September.

To add on through Disney, the policy has been that you need to do at the minimum for new members if you want a new UY. Right now, that would be 160 for BLT and 100 for AKL or SSR.

October if you are not travelling in June,July,August,September because you'd

received allotment of points on Oct 1 each year which would cover your

travel in October and May and still give you until May 31 to bank your

points *just note that in order for those current UY points to still be bankable

you'd need to cancel reservation 31 days or more before check-in date but

if cancelling 30 days through 1 day before check-in then although you

would not be allowed to bank you'd still have until Sept 30 to use the points.

ie on OCT 1 2009 receive allotment of 2009 UY points to use for reservation on Oct 26,2009 :
if cancelled by Sept 25 2009 then either bank these points
by May 31 2010 OR use these points for another reservation by
Sept 30 2010 ~ OR ~

if cancelled after Sept 25 2009 but no later than Oct 25 2009 then
you may not bank these points but will have until Sept 30 2010 to
use these points (which are now in Holding Status) for another
resevation booked 60 days or less before new check-in date you'd want
