Use Year & points

Sorry, I am making this into rocket science. Pls. just verify that I have this right. My contract date (use yr) is June 1st. Financially, I can only visit WDW every other year. We prefer the last two weeks in June or 1st week in July as my daughter teaches.

We were at WDW this past march. I have 66 pts left. I have to use them by 6/1/09, or bank them by end of Dec. The pts come out of bank 6/1/09. I have to use them by 6/1/10. That means I cannot use banked points for a trip later in June of 2010. Therefore, I cannot use these banked pts. every other year and visit end of June.
I shd have tried for a July 1 use year??

Am I current in assuming that you borrowed some of your '08 pts for your March vacation and the you have 66 points left in '08? Assuming the answer is yes, then in your above scenario, yes you can't use these points in December '10. However, you can use the points that you banked from '09.

Therefore, I cannot use these banked pts. every other year and visit end of June.
I shd have tried for a July 1 use year??

Yes you still can bank every other years points and travel in June. However, the banked points that you use are from the previous UY. So you would bank '09 points and then in '10 you would use both your '09 banked points and your '10 points.

There is no July use year, Disney only sells 8 use year months.

You can only bank points 1 year so you can't really use banked points every other year (2 years of banked points). For a trip in June 2010, you would be able to use banked 2009 points, current year 2010 and borrowed 2011. You could rent those 2008 points you have left (or use them) and then bank your 2009 and also use your 2010 points in 2010. You could then bank your 2011 points for your 2012 trip.
