I have a question and your response is easy to understand, so maybe you can confirm what I think. We just closed on a September UY contract, but want to take a trip in November. We will need to bank this years points to be able to use them for our November trip right?

Yes, to use current Sept 2019 UY points for a Nov 2020 trip....since that is in your Sept 2020 UY...they need to be banked,

Always consider UY of travel and not when you call. Every trip can be paid for with points that are banked from the UY prior to travel, points from the UY of travel, and with borrowed points for the UY after travel to complete the reservation.
