Use Year and Renting Question

I always get this confused. We did a big trip a few months ago and will not be going back until late 2014 at the earliest. I have 0 points left for October 2012 and 141 left for October 2013. Can I rent or transfer those October 2013 points now or do I need to wait until October 1, 2013? You would think being a member for coming up on 10 years I could figure this out!

In terms of transfer, yes, you could do that now. For renting, since its based on time of stay, those are eligible for any trip beginning October 1st, 2013 up until the 11 month window of a trip after that date...ie: today, you could book a trip starting as late as June 13, 2014.

Members are allowed to transfer from the current and next Use Year. You could even do that with the same phone call.

Why not just bank the 2013 points to 2014? Then you can use those points for a trip from Oct 1, 2014 to Sept 30, 2015.

You haven't even started your Oct 2013 UY yet.

But you can:

(1) transfer them to someone else into their 2013 UY or

(2) make a reservation for someone starting Oct 1, 2013 through Sept 30, 2014 or

(3) borrow them and make a reservation for someone from now through Sept 30, 2013.
