We may (MAY) be switching our onsite ressies to off. We are going in October. If we do off-site things one day, then do the Hoop-De-Doo review that evening, does it require us to use our hopper, thus wasting a day??
I suppose this same question would apply for the night of the MNSSHP. Since this requires a seperate ticket, can we get into the park for the party using the ticket alone, or does it also knock a day of usage off of our hopper?

The Hoop Dee Doo revue does not require a park ticket as it is located in Fort Wilderness, Pioneer Hall. You would have to drive there or take a taxi because as you may already know, you have to be a disney guest to use their transportation.

As far as the MNSSHP, you can get in the park as early as 4pm with your party ticket. If you choose to enter earlier, then yes, you would have to use your hopper ticket. Just make sure when you enter you get your wristbands before you go wandering. Also, please be aware that when the park closes they will send you to tomorrowland until the party begins.

Hope this helps

Thanks princssdisnygina! I was hoping that was the answer. More questions, though, k?
You say we can get into the park as early as 4:00 p.m. with our tickets (MNSSHP) but have to go to tomorrowland at some time for the park to close to others. I had planned on making PS at Liberty Tavern for dinner the night of the party. Will I still be able to do that, without using up a day on our hopper? I don't HAVE to do Liberty that night, but lots of others have suggested it. We can always do it another night to avoid using up a day on our hopper.
Can we get in for the party AND for dinner without using the hopper? Kids would be happy with just the party alone, but I am trying to plan ahead. Thanks!

gardendame: Yes you can get into the park, eat early and then enjoy the party all on your MNSSHP ticket. You can sometimes make reservations very early for the LLT (about the time tickets begin to be sold in June) and you can also make reservations for the Crystal Palace at the regular 90 day window.

By the way, if you have a multiday ticket (park hopper or park hopper plus, for example) you can use all Disney transportation. So if you don't want to park at the lot in FW, you could take a ferry from MK to get to the Hoop-de-doo.

In October FW also has some haunted hayrides on the weekends.

I have never gone to MNSSHP, but EVERYTHING I have read up until this post has said that it requires a special ticket AND a ticket into the park! I am pretty sure that no matter what time you get to the park, you will be charged a day of your parkhopper! If it were me, I would do the Hoop-De-Do, and maybe hit MNSSHP on a nite that I was already using a day of my parkhopper. Or, better yet, I would go to the outlet stores and get the kids their WDW souvies while my DH let the kids play in the pool.....you can save alot of $$ by buying at the outlets! You can surprise the kids every morning/evening with a treat/prize!:sunny:

Scan, now I'm confused:confused:
Two saying "yes, just ticket to get in" and now you saying no. Where can I call to find out for sure?

Well I can tell you that I was at MNSSHP on October 24, 2003 and I got in around 4:00 using only my ticket for the halloween party. You do not need to use your park hopper. I have first hand experience with this. You'll be fine with just your party ticket.

Thanks BlkBearSuz! Did you have dinner PS anywhere?

I have been to the parties many times and as we said, you can get in after 4 with ONLY your MNSSHP ticket. When we went to the MVMCP we had PS at Crystal Palace which was pretty good! We had done Chef Mickeys and seen those characters so that is why we chose CP to see Pooh and Friends! Our PS was at 5:30.
Make your PS early though! The best thing to do is to schedule a PS for around 5 ish, then go to tomorrowland and ride all tomorrowland rides so you have that out of your system by the time the party starts! FYI...there will be a lot of kids trick or treating, but don't be deceived, the rides won't be that crowded!

We only did counter service when we went. Doing the party was one of my favorite things of my trip. It was so awesome to do the rides at night, with no waits. There was great character interaction, a fun parade and fireworks. I'm sure you'll have a blast.

Sue

P.S. We went on most of the rides during the first parade. There were no lines at all. We noticed after the parade ended that the lines were starting to build up again.

Just for clarification, any multi-day ticket entitles you to use of Disney transportation.

Thanks for clarifying Dan. Yes, a multi-day ticket does let you use their transportation but if they are not staying on site they would have to have some form of transportation to get to Disney property, therefore, would not have access to transportation with other transportation. Does that make sense?

Definitely!

But for people staying at the Downtown Disney hotels, Disney transportation is sometimes a lifesaver. I made that clarification because I used to be confused about the policy. :)
