Hi All,

I've been getting really great advice on the boards and am soooo excited for my upcoming trip.

I have about 200 reward points of my Disney Visa. I believe this correlates to ~$200 reward dollars, can I use these in all the parks/hotels in CA and Florida? I seem to only get offers (pin codes and such) from Florida..... and was hoping to put it towards the hotel (DLH) or restaurants within DL or California Adventure.

thanks again!

Yes, Disney dollars are like cash when you are at Disney properties so it won't be a problem to give them a Donald instead of a five!

If you want to use your Disney Visa reward points, you need to request a Disney reward card from Chase and transfer your points to that card. It's like a gift card that you can use at almost anyplace Disney. Yes, 200 points is equivalent to $200. We have used our Disney reward dollars at ticket booths and restaurants and stores inside Disneyland and DCA. You should also be able to use the points to pay down your hotel bill. The card can also be used at Disney stores and Disney shopping online. We like to request our card a few weeks before we plan to go to Disneyland to allow time to receive the card in the mail before our trip. Once you have the card, it's good for a year or two and reloadable, so if you amass more points before the card's expiration date you can transfer them by phone or online and not have to request another card. Alternatively, if you forget to request your card, you are supposed to be able to obtain a card and transfer reward dollars at the Chase booth near Great Moments with Lincoln inside Disneyland. We have never tried this.

I actually have gotten the card at Guest Services when I went to WDW and called Chase to have the points transferred over to the card. You can do the same at Disneyland. I've used mine for food while I was there, and when I didn't use all the money on it I gave it to my daughter to use when she went. I have both the Disney Visa and the Disney Rewards from my checking account but they take different rewards cards. Blue for Visa and Red for checking account (which is odd since the back of the Visa card is red and the checking card is blue, gets me confused especially since I'm a blonde LOL).

We got our card at guest relations too-- it was easy as pie. I just had to call a number and activate it then.

I just ordered my rewards card, and it took about a week to get it in the mail- it was superfast! :thumbsup2

I just received my Redemption Card in the mail yesterday. It took about a week and a half to receive it. When I ordered it, the lady on the phone (who was probably one of the friendliest, nicest Disney employees I've ever talked to in my life) supposedly loaded it with the points I had earned, but there is nothing indicating that in the paper that came with the card. In other words, it doesn't say, "You have XXX already loaded on the card" anywhere on the insert. So I can only assume it's already on the card because she said she was putting it on there.

thanks for all the replies; good to know I have options in case I slip up and forget to order it!

I have found that whenever I call they are always super friendly and helpful. Too bad all customer service reps aren't like them!

My rewards card has a phone number on it that you can call and check the balance. I have done that in the past to double check the transfers I have done online. :goodvibes
