Use Disney reward dollars at all DLR restaurants?

Has any one had any experience with this lately. I am specifically wondering about BB and CC. I seem to remember I could use reward dollars at any restaurant that accepts credit cards a while back, but I want to double check as I am counting on using them. I just called and looked up Chase, but they don't specifically say which restaurants accept the dollars, just which ones give a discount with the Visa card.

I used them at BB last year, so i assume they would be good at CC as well.

Somewhat related, I'd be interested in hearing if there are any restaurants in park that didn't take them at WDW, since we're headed there next year. I assume most of the restaurants at Disney Springs don't take them.

It is treated like a gift card. All Disney restaurants accept them. You cannot use them at most Downtown Disney restaurants though.

Yes, you can. The reward dollars are loaded on a Disney gift card and work just like a credit card. They spend at Disneyland anywhere that accepts credit cards. There are a few places that only accept cash, but even the popcorn venders now take credit cards. We use our reward dollars to pay for all of our park food. Some reason $5 for icecream at Discovery Kingdom is a NO WAY!, but it doesn't phase me at Disneyland when I'm using my reward dollars to pay for it...

rewards cards being issued now do not expire. but watch your rewards in your account, they do expire before loading them onto a rewards card.

That's good to know. The one I have right now expires at the end of the year, so I need to take it to a Disney Store and buy a gift card with the remaining funds.

The credit card has perks including discounts for dining and shopping at select locations. But the rewards themselves have been put on a credit card style card that can be used anywhere credit cards can be used (at Disney) for at least the last 5 years. That's how long it's been since our first DL trip as a family, I can't answer to how the rewards worked in years before 2011.

So to clarify, the redemption card (what we're calling a gift card) that holds your "reward" dollars is not a credit card.
It can only be used at Disney Establishments and cannot be used just anywhere a common CC (like your Diseny VISA) can be used.
I even asked a couple of the restarants in DTD if they would take it and they cannot.

Exactly what I said above. It is basically a DISNEY GIFT CARD. So, cannot be used at most DtD locations since they are not Disney owned

Does anyone know if you can use Disney reward dollars at Steakhouse 55?

I've used them at the Hearthstone at the GCH so I think that any Disney restaurant yes, but not DTD.
