Use DDP for all character meals

We are a large group of 16 people going in December for 13 days. It will be the first time for 10 of us and I am wondering if this makes sense to use the DDP TS credits and do a different character meal everyday, I know CRT takes 2 credits and the rest take one TS credit.

I would like for all of us that have not been to Disney before to experience as much of it as possible so I don't want to be standing in line for 2-3 hours a day waiting for character autographs (i know this is the icing on the cake for the young ones, but it seems like a waste of time as there is so much more to do while at Disney) So I was thinking that if we attend a different character meal everyday we would likely be able to see most of the main characters as they come by our table and I guess we will have to line up for the rest.

Does this seem like I am on the right track or like my DW says that I am being a stick in the mud?

That's a good plan. However, other resturants you will get more bang for you DDP bucks. When we did the dining plan we did the character meals because the kids like them. So while not the most value for your money it works well with kids.

Depending on your group make up I would pick maybe 3 or 4 of the most popular. CRT of course. But Donalds at AK and Stitch at Ohana are great. Chef Mickeys is also very popular because you get Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Donald all in one meal. Thats the most I would do because it gets old and takes a looong time for these meals. I'd try to take advantage of Extra Magic Hours and make that a priority. Also everyday make sure your group goes back to the resort and relaxes at the pool or takes a nap. WDW is exhausting and you need to pace yourself or people will fall apart and thats certainly not magical.

Well- since you're going for 13 days- I don't think u should do a character meal EVERY day- but about 5 or 6 would be awesome!
If I were you I'd do CRT (bfast maybe?? but be aware that the charcters at dinner are NOT princesses)
and then I would do a few Grand Gathering ones (if you're all booked together, you qualify for certain experiences tha tothers don't!)
Breakfast at Tony's Town square in MK (has all the mickey crew)
Safari dinner thing at Tusker house (has the same characters I believe from bfast? and maybe rafiki from Lion King) or if u don't do this, then def do the donald's safair bfast.
Then-
Crystal Palace (pooh and friends!)
Chef Mickey's (cuz you just have to:-) )
And if anyone's a huge cinderella fan the character interaction at 1900 park fare for dinner is great.
And if anyone likes chip and dale then maybe garden grill at epcot.
Though my FAV place to see Chip and dale and it's FREE is to go over to fort wilderness for a campfire singalong w/ a movie under the stars. SO much fun and it's FREE. you can buy smores packs and stuff too :-)

But yeah prob about half the days i'd do character and the rest of the time just eat good food. Whatever appeals to you- and probably try and break the group up into a few smaller groups if possible for making ressies.
