Last summer, we had a mishap at Disneyworld in Florida. They sent me an email providing me with 2x Complimentary Magic Your Way Base tickets. They said I needed to bring my photo ID, the email and my will call order ID.

I am planning on going to CA in a few weeks. Is it possible to use these tickets in CA? I called Disneyland Guest services and they say "no". I saw something else on Mousesavers where people have been able to use Disneyworld tickets at Disneyland.

If it is possible, would I need to call Disneyworld and see if they can send me paper tickets?

I can't actually answer your question, however, a friend of mine got complimentary tickets to Disney World a couple years ago for some problems they encountered. They had no intention of going back to WDW but she does visit DL, and asked if she could use them at DL. She was told no, you can't use comp tickets. She did end up escalating big time and got tix issued to DL, but not without a long drawn out thing. The tix are marked differently I'm sure.... I know you can use WDW tickets that have been paid for at DL but I honestly wouldn't be surprised if you in fact won't be able to use comp tix.
Personally I would call WDW and ask if you could get paper tix and if you can if they would be valid at DL. If they tell you yes, I'd feel confident.

Maybe others that have been in this situation will have more insight. Good luck!

Yes, you can use WDW tickets for DL admission, unfortunately you do not have tickets, you have a voucher for tickets. The voucher is not accepted at DL.

Does that mean if I was to purchase, lets say a 5 day pass for WDW, with the no expiration option, I could use it at DL if I do not complete the 5 days at WDW? :confused3

Also, pixiewings71, I just noticed your location. Do you ever shop at the Solano Disney Store? I wonder if we have ever crossed paths before!!

Any idea how she escalated? Sounds like that's the answer.

Yes, that means if you buy a 5 day pass for WDW and don't use it all you can use the remaining days at DLR, as long as you have the no expiration option. :) I replied to your PM as well but yes, I do shop there, in fact I met a Dis Diva there a few months back. :)

I'm thinking she got mad and angry and to appease her they gave her the pass.......not something that I recommend doing. :) Of course I could be wrong, she could have been really polite about it and just went up the chain of command.

Actually it doesn't have to have the no expiration option as long as you visit DLR before the ticket expires. Not practical for most people, but if you're a SoCal local who will be headed to WDW you could buy extra days on your WDW ticket and then use them on a visit to DLR immediately after returning home.

I knew that, but as you said it isn't practical so I didn't mention it. :)

Only because I have 3x 3day hopper comp passes to WDW I know you cannot use them at DL. I actually have them in my possession(tickets, not a voucher). There is a note on the back that they can only be used at WDW property and cannot be upgraded or converted to passes for any other disney location. Assuming that would incl DL. Maybe yours are different since they are not tickets yet. My expiration is 2035, so we have some time to use them.
Hope it helps.
If you do want to use them at DL, try calling and asking. Can't hurt to ask.
