We just returned from WDW . We used a Baby's Best Friend for a crib, toys, a high chair and a VCR/DVD player. All I can say is WOW!!! Again, I am floored by the GREAT service we had. We arrived in WDW just hours after CHARLEY (we had been in Vero Beach) and all our stuff had been delivered to POR. We were so surprised. We figured the items we had requested would not be delivered to us until sometime Sunday or Monday because of the terrible weather....nope everything was there waiting for us!!! The wonderful people at ABBF had delivered the items 2 days early in anticipation of the storm. Because of their professionalism and their great customer care we had a great time in WDW. My DD and DS were able to enjoy the stay and my DH and I were able to relax. We even received a phone call from ABBF to make sure we were able to pick up our items in the luggage room. They were worried that because of the confusion at the hotels (people stranded, people checking in etc) that they would not be found quickly.I jsut wanted to put this here for any families who are traveling. A Baby's Best Friend is also a Parents Best Friend!!!!!

Thanks for the info.

We may use ABBF for the first time in March with out then 9 1/2 month old DDprincess:

Thanks so much for saying that as we are using them in November. I rented 2 cribs and 2 portable high chairs for our twins. Did your DH find the crib hard to put together and pack away?

My Dh did not find it hard to assemble (ABBF had emailed us detailed directions beofe we left for the trip and there was a set in the box with the crib. The directions were so detailed it even said which piece to put in the box first, next when you are re-packing it etc...) They even included rope to tie it back up etc.The only suggestion I would have is to assemble the crib where you are keeping it. We assembled it in the center of the room and then had to move it. The crib is a nice, sturdy crib (not one of those flimsy ones) and it was quite heavy to move. The crib was beautiful and the bedding was so cute. It had a Mickey and Minnie cut-out on the head bumper. My daughter chatted with Mickey and Minnie every morning when she woke up!!!! It was so much nicer than having her sleep in the pack and play provided by the hotel. We ended up using the pack and play that POR gave to us to let the baby play in but I have to say it was old and kind of beat up. Next time I am going to rent a crib from ABBF and a pack and play from ABBF so she can sleep in the crib and play in the pack and play. I would not have felt safe with her sleeping in the pack and play they (POR) provided for us (holes in the netting, mattress sort of old and bent, I had brought Lysol to clean it though) In POR defense there were quite a bit of "displaced" people staying at the hotel because of the hurricane, we may have gotten an older pack and play. I would definitly reccomend ABBF we have used them 3 times total.....always WONDERFUL!!!!

When we used them a few years ago for a crib they put it together and took it down for us!

Great quality crib and really nice people

Still really nice people and a really great crib but you have to put it up and take it down yourself. It wasnt hard at all (and we don;t let DH touch tools at home.....hubby and tools just don't mix well)

Just to let everyone know that there is another option for crib rental and all other baby items you might need. We received this information from Grand Floridian Resort. This is who many of the resorts recommend. The company is local and is called Children's Furniture Rental (407) 522-0233. When I called, I spoke with Roy and he was soooooo nice!!! He has full size wooden cribs, like the ones we have at home (62"x48") for only $9.00 a night and the best thing is he delivers it to your room before you get there and it is all set up already, linens and all!!! I did bring my daughters own blanket from home, and a couple of her crib sheets in case of accidents. We didn't have to do anything when we left either. He arranged to have it picked up when we left! I know they also have strollers, and baby joggers too, and even high chairs. I would highly recommend them and we will be using them again this December!

Also, don't forget to check with your resort about available baby items. At the GF we were able to get a regular size high chair with tray, and a microwave and refrigerator for our room at no extra charge!:wave2:

I too am a huge fan of ABBF! We have used them everytrip since Jan 02 (see siggy below for details) And have nothing but wonderful experiences with them, both on site and off. We have rented strollers, high chairs, baby moniters, potty seats, and the kids love the TOYS!

THis reminds me... I have to place our order for our October and January trips! These trips will prolly be the last time we use them and it saddens me... a little.... but happy to know our kids are getting bigger!

I just made reservations for toys and a baby gate (staying in a two bedroom villa a the WL) for our December trip. I think my little guy will love having some toys to keep him busy in the morning while we get ready, in the evenings after his bath, etc. And I know I will love not trying to fit his toys into the suitcase! We've heard nothing but great things about this company.

Our little DD is 14 months. The toys from ABBF were so cute!! They sent out a Mickey Mouse shape sorter, some "busy" toys, a hammer and tool set, a keyboard, some other "musical type instruments and a dog pull toy. The toys were all clean and in great shape. The toys were in a nice big mash bag and then in another palstic bag. My daughter loved them as we only brought a few books along with us. It was nice to have something to keep her busy.

Ahhhhh---the idea of having toys available to them is wonderful. Just a question for anyone who has rented the toys: I have twin daughters --- do you think I should rent 2 sets of the toys or do you think one will be plenty for the 2 of them? Thanks!

I think one set would be enough, but I also suggest calling ABBF and talking with them directly, they can give you a better idea of what is included in the toy pack.

We always get two sets of toys... one for the girls and one for boy, but there is a big age difference....
