If I have a 4 day ticket, can I use one day for DCA and one for DL on the same day?

I know there are park hopper options but was just wondering.

No...you must have the park hopper option is you want to enter both parks on the same day using the same ticket.

I think what the OP means is to use two different tickets. One for DL and a different one for DCA. Am I correct? Will it be two people using all 4 tickets? I was planning on doing this in December so I am interested to see if any one has done it. I don't see how it would not work as long as you properly mark each ticket so you don't mix them up.

Think the OP is talking about one 4-day single park ticket. OP is wondering if he/she can theoretically use it as a 3 day ticket by going into both parks in one day.

Example: Monday: DL. Tuesday: DCA. Wednesday: DL and DCA (using Days 3 and 4 of your ticket).

Pretty good thinking of trying to save $15 bucks ($250 for 4-day single park, or $265 for 3-day park hopper); but no, I don't think you can do that. They'll scan your ticket in the other park and the system will prevent you from entering.

The OP said they have a four day ticket, which sounded like they have a single 4-day non-hopper ticket (not four 1-day tickets). If this is the case, no, they cannot go into DL and DCA on the same day using this ticket. The ticketing system will reject the ticket at the second park. The OP would need to have the park hopper option added to the ticket to get into both parks. However, if they have two physical tickets, then yes, they could use one ticket to enter DL and the other ticket to enter DCA on the same day.

The wording is funny but the title of the thread is "2 park tickets in one day " which is why I read it differently than you. I can see how it could go either way but because you answered with one ticket a day I answered with two tickets in one day. I was only trying to help.

Your way will work, but won't save money. So people don't usually think of doing it this way.

OT, but I do wish that Disney had an option of adding a park-hopper for select days only. Not really a problem in Disneyland, but in DW, I usually get 3-day park hopper ticket, but only hop on one day (MK and Epcot are full day parks, but I split AK and HS).

They have one 4 day tickets according to the first post.

Not unless you have a TARDIS. ;) Multi-day tickets are just that--tickets valid for multiple individual days. You can only use one day per day, so to speak. The only way to park hop (short of purchasing two completely separate tickets) is to purchase the Park Hopper option for your multi-day ticket. The tickets page on the Disneyland website notes: "All tickets...provide admission to one theme park per day. To enjoy same-day access to both theme parks, you can upgrade to a Park Hopper Ticket." (See here: https://disneyland.disney.go.com/tickets/)

Back in 2003 they had an unlisted special for Southern California residents and their guests. My cousin lives in OC and her husband asked if they could do anything for me. For the price of a single day one-park ticket, I was able to use the ticket as a PH or use it separately to go to the other park (couldn't be the same park) on another day. That might be the closest thing to what the OP is thinking.
