They are also currently offering the cheapest prices for a trip I am watching to Phoenix in March. I am not a fan of USAir, but will fly them if the price is right...

Exactly. If all they've done is to lower their prices, but are still more expensive than my favorite airline - or even slightly lower, it won't change my decision.
