Has anyone ever flown with USA3000 airlines? We're looking to fly from Newark to Orlando and the prices are incredibly low !!

I haven't flown with them yet but did post this question about a month ago. I heard all good things. We too are planning to use them from Newark in November unless something else comes up within the next 2 weeks (that is when we will have the funds to book).

Good luck!

There prices are low.........but USA3000 only flys 3-4 days per week at most airports. So there times and days for flying may not fit your vacation schedule.

Have not flown them yet, have reservations for our Nov/Dec trip. My brother and my boss have flown them and were very happy. My boss knows someone at USA3000 so he knows!!!

True, they don't travel every day, but if you can adjust your vacation days, it's worth it.

Fits in perfectly with our dates so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for 1. the prices still being low two weeks from now and 2. they are a reputable and professional airline that will still be flying in Nov/Dec!

Glad to hear something from an insider. Thanks!

My sister works for them. They are a really good up and coming airline. They are one of the few that give meals on most of thier flights.

I haven't flown with them yet, but have tickets for December. Everyone I talk to that has flown with them has had nothing but positive things to say. They only thing I wish they had was the ability to check in and print boarding passes online.

I Loved USA3000. I thought the pilot was great...kept us up with any possible weather or turbulance we might have accurred. The meals were great in my eyes. Excellent airline and would fly them again in a heart beat!

They're a charter type of carrier. They can change your flight times, add a stop or even change your flight to one with an indirect connection and you have no recourse, as long as you arrive the same day as your reservation. They can decide to drop your route. Your refund may not be enough to get a reservation on another airline.

If the fare is much better than other airlines give it a shot. If USA3000 thinks they can make more money flying a different route than EWR-MCO than they'll make that change.

I'm not sure about EWR-MCO but they don't fly many routes daily.

What the last poster said is very true. That very much keeps away from them. My family flew them and there flights where canceled because of the hurricane and they wouldnt have a new flight for 4 or 5 days. That in my mind is unacceptable. I have delt with lots of airline customer service departments and they by far are the worst. Buyer Beware is all I advise.

not so good

here is my old post

my mom had a lousy experience

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

but, to save that much money, I might risk it and hope things work out better for you.

she flew Milw to Ft myers

She picked them specifically because they had direct flights. She is elderly and was traveling alone, and she has hip/knee problems so she really wanted that direct flight.

The day she is supposed to leave, she calls and finds out that they had switched her flight to a stop in Chicago. They made no attempt to contact her about the change. They had my email info, so they could have sent out an automated message. I called customer service, and was basically told, 'yeah, I guess we forgot to let you know'. No apology or attempt to compensate. I think she should have had the option of switching to a different flight day so that she could have kept a direct flight, but since she was not notified, she did not know to try. Apparently, when she got to the airport, many of the other passengers were not notified either.

On the return, she was supposed to get to Milw at 930 pm. At around 730, I started checking on line for the flight. Says it is delayed, but no mention of when it would leave. Call their automated system, and was told it would arrive at 2 am. I was the lucky one who was picking her up from the airport. I called at 10 pm our time, and the flight still had not left, so I called at 11 pm(wanted to make sure it was still coming in at 2 am), and the flight was no longer in their system! I guess since it had been scheduled to land 1.5 hrs before, it dropped off. I think she finally got in at around 3 am

I wrote a letter to them, left a message on their phone, explaining all the problems, and never heard back from them.

Maybe this is just because they are new and have not worked out their problems yet. Even with as bad as it was, if I could fly down for $118 pp, I might be willing to give them another try. Just be prepared.

Wouldn't this fall under the rule 333 (or something like that) where the airline must get you another flight that same day even if it is on another airline? Either way, it's still a pain, but I cannot see you having to wait 4 or 5 days for another flight. Sounds illegal.

Thanks for the info though. I will strongly consider my plans for late Nov before purchasing my tickets next week. It is quite a savings to fly with them though!

NO, it's a weather related problem. Plus they're a charter type airline and aren't subject to many of the rules and polices regular airline follow. You don't have to wait 4 or 5 days. They'll give you a refund of your, deeply discounted, fare. The problem is it'll cost you a lot more than your refund to get a flight on another carrier.

If you save a lot of $$$ give them a shot but if you can fly a real airline for only $10-$20 more grab it.

OK - I didn't realize they wouldn't be subject to the usual rules.

So far, the savings is about $250 to fly with them over another airline. I can't purchase my tickets until next week so hopefully something will come up with Continental or AA. So far though, in the last week, all have gone up including USA3000 by $20 a ticket. I'm getting nervous!!!

Thanks for the info!
