Us3 back from the Fort! (report w/pics)

Sonya, enjoying your report. Your girls are adorable and I love the outfits!! Did you make them?

Day 4 - First Day at the parks!

We had 8:15am adr's for the new Donalds Breakfast at Tusker House. I don't know how I failed to realize that this was EMH at AK!! The lines were CRAZY and we had to "cut" up to the line for adr's to make it in time! Oh well, we're going with the flow, so all is good. We only plan on hitting a few attractions anyway....no more commando for us!

Breakfast was great! We loved Donalds Breakfasaurus...this one at Tusker House is even better!

We went to KS...and luckily only waited about 15 minutes or so...they really run you through this line now! We didn't see as many animals this time though. Lone Star...closest thing we saw to a Texas longhorn, haha...

We went to see the Nemo Show. Dh and I had seen this for the first time in Oct on our adult only trip...its FANTASTIC! The girls loved it as well.

It was hot and crowded (being EMH and all)...so you guessed it, we left! Back to the Fort for an afternoon of fun!

We looped, rested, ate good food, had some Mickey bars. The little ones took a good nap...so after dark we went to the beach with a blanket. This was one of the most memorable evenings. The girls played in the sand. They LOVED the water pageant parade and then we watched Wishes from the beach. What a great family evening!! :goodvibes

I wish I could take credit for them! They were made, but not by me. Everyone loved the pillowcase dresses...you can find them on ebay.

We had 8:20 ressies at AK that day. We must have just been missing each other this whole trip. That's so funny. The park was a mess. We left early to and went to WL for dinner.

Day 5 - Time to take the kids to MK!

After 3 mornings of Character Breakfast's, we had breakfast in the camper (first time this trip). Those character breafast's get EXPENSIVE!! :scared1: I dressed the girls in their Minnie pillow case dresses and we took the boat to MK! Spring break crowds and of course it's packed!

We went straight to our "spot", Cinderella's Wishing Well. This is where DH proposed to me just over 11 years ago. Time goes so fast and the wishing well just keeps on giving...note the 3 kids in the photo!! hahaha

We grabbed a fast pass for Buzz. Then we went to ride It's a Small World, Buzz, and then Trans Authority. The crowds were growing by the minute so we grabbed a FP for Pooh and went to eat at Casey's Corner. Great deep fried and fast food as always, haha. We rode Pooh (which dd2 and dd3 LOVED) and then decided we were done with the crowds!

Once again, back to the Fort for another fun afternoon and evening watching Wishes from the beach! Kungaloosh played a roll in the fun on this evening! :thumbsup2

The pics are great. It looks like everyone is having a great time.

Day 6 - MGM (I know, Hollywood Studios)

We met LOTS of Pixar characters this day...my girls LOVE Pixar movies! I was surpised at the emotion from dd3, she would NOT stop hugging the characters and she was almost in tears! It was really cute, and of course brought tears to my and dh's eyes....ah, the Disney magic is so real to a 3 year old!! :goodvibes The characters were so good with her and Woody spent a long time hugging her while the crowds said "aaahhhh". :goodvibes

Our biggest disappointment was that Lightning McQueen was not there. Notice dd2's Lightning McQueen dress... Little girls love the movie Car's too!

Great pics and report! :thumbsup2 Sounds like you all had a great time!:goodvibes

Just curious, do you haul the cart in back of the truck? We're still contemplating a cart but the trailer DH wants costs more than the cart :scared: And I think if we could get it in back of a pickup, that may be an alternative option.

Day 7 - One of the best days at WDW....spent at the Fort of course! :thumbsup2

We had planned to take 2 days at Epcot (our fav Disney park). Dh woke up with a cold that morning and we were really tired of the spring break crowds. We decided to stay at the Fort today and experience it at it's best (and at a relaxing pace)! Lot's of good FW pics to follow! DH (still sick) went to bed early with DD2 and DD3, so DD9 and I hit EMH at MK until midnight! Wait times were a max of 15 minutes and we rode Pirates, Thunder Railroad, Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain before the park closed!

Day 7 cont - Fishing at the Fort!

DH and I both enjoy fishing. DD9 loves it too, so now its time to introduce DD2 and DD3 to the fun. They had a GREAT time...and let me tell you...DD2 has the touch! She landed a 3lb cat fish this evening AND the following evening (but I didn't have the camera for that one). We were using night crawlers from the bike barn. The CM at the bike barn was great. He had DD9 answer a Disney trivia question and then gave her the bait. Cute!

We do haul it in the back of the truck. It is a bit tricky loading IMHO though. We use the arched ramps. We take the top and winshield off when hauling. We learned from experience that you can lose a winshield quite easily! :scared1: Here is a pic of it in the back of the truck the evening before we departed for FW! Oh, DH also used rachet straps (I think that is what they are called) to keep in from moving in the back of the truck. The tail gate of his 8 foot long bed does NOT close with the back seat foot rest, so he used a tip found here on dis boards to keep the tail gate at an angle.

Great trip report!!!!

I can't believe that fish was in that little pond in front of the Bike Barn!

I took the DD's fishing many times at the Fort, and never caught a thing. We gave that up a long time ago. I have seen folks fishing many times, but never saw anyone catch anything. But, WOW!:thumbsup2

Keep the photos coming!

I really wish I had gotten a picture of this....but didn't have the camera on me at the time. And hopefully this wont offend anyone...:)

While fishing, there was a large blue heron standing rather close to us on the shore watching while we caught fish after fish. Dh tossed one of the small injured fish over to him (that was sick from swollowing the hook) and he gobbled it down! :scared1: He pitched another over to him and the heron speared it with his beak as it started to swim away. We watched him catch another near the shore on his own. It was pretty cool to watch him. He was so full, I'm sure he had a hard time flying that evening! :lmao:

there's nothing offensive with that! You put that little fish out of it's misery and the Heron's got to eat!
