We had such a great trip. It was all we expected and more. We spent a lot of time around the Fort relaxing, looping and enjoying Kungaloosh.

Day 1 - We left the house later than expected and hit the road around 6am Friday morning. It was a very chilly morning in GA with light drizzle. We bundled up and hit the road and headed SOUTH! We arrived at the Fort around 3pm (after several stops). It was very warm and humid! We were assigned to site #117...and what a lovely site it was. Here are some pics of the site...

We started unloading and then shortly after met our first dis friend of the trip...Stacktester. Very nice guy and he has a lovely daughter. Donnie, next time stop by for Kungaloosh and the girls can have fun playing! We finished setting up and then the sky opened up...the first down pour of the weekend! Thankfully the rain let up and we were able to get out and enjoy our evening around the Fort!

We went for our first looping experience in our new cart. And what fun it was! The girls were giggling uncontrollably as we splashed through puddles of water....so much for me washing the cart before we left home!

We've heard so much about the "Best Meal Deal on Disney Property” (Trails Inn family chicken meal)..we decided that we'd try it. We splashed all the way back to the campsite and enjoyed a great dinner.

The girls were really tired and went to bed by 9pm. DH and I opened a bottle of wine and watched Wishes through the trees from our campsite. It was a great ending to a long, fun day.

Looks like an awesome set-up. The golf cart looks like it would be a speed trap magnet on the highway! I owned a red car once. Just once. I'd get pulled over all the darn time. Half the time I deserved it, the other half I'd swear they couldn't see me well enough to prove anything!:lmao:

I was just thinking, I don't recall all that many palm trees at the Fort, mostly regular trees like oak and stuff. Are there a lot of palms like the one at your site?

Day 2 - The Day of "Rain". Our plan was to spend the weekend at the Fort and other resorts before hitting the parks on Monday. It ended up working out because of the rain!

We took the boat over to CR and then the monorail to Poly. We had breakfast adr's at Kona. I was soooo ready for my pressed pot of Kona coffee!! Here is a pic of dd3 being a ham as always...

DD9 and I did the FW Trail Ride at 1pm. We only had a bit of rain and the horses didn't mind. DD9 really enjoyed it, and I well...it's been a while since I been on a horse...so after an hour or so ride, lets just say that it felt funny to walk afterward, haha.

The thunderstorms rolled in and we could tell we wouldn't get a lot accomplished at the Fort. So we took our one and only trip away from WDW to stock up on food and beverages (of the adult kind). It was a slow trip back because the streets were flooding! :scared1:

We did some looping between rain showers and basically relaxed at the campsite. Camping at its best. We grilled some good food and then retired to the camper to listen to the rain and thunder.

Haha...I always refer to the cart as "DH's cart, but my paint job". It's two tone candy apple and deep maroon. I fell in love with the paint job and told dh that this was the cart for us! (i know, very girly of me)

There are quite a few of these palms in 100 and 400 that I remember...but not anything like all of the pine, cypress and oaks! I'm hoping with the clearing and replanting...they'll bring in some more...they are so pretty! BTW, we exited WDW from the "newish" west side entrance/exit and saw acres of palms and a nursery of sorts. I'm assuming this is where Disney grows it plants, palms and trees?? :confused3

Looks great! Your DD is a cutie and looks like she's really enjoying being at Disney!!!!!

Day 3 - Poly/DTD/WL/FW

We had adr's for a late breakfast at Ohana's...but first we saw the FW Segway tour in front of our campsite stop to discuss the cabins two sole cabins in the 100 loop. Interesting stuff...dh and I want to take the tour next time!

We then took the boat to CR and then monorail to Poly. My kids totally love Disney transportation, haha. The boats, monorail, busses...it's all "rides" to them! Here's a pic of from the Ohana parade...

Ohana's took WAY longer than expected. DD9 missed her jr fishing excursion from the fort and we missed the DIS pic! Urgh! But we had a great time at Poly as always!

We went shopping at DTD, and it was PACKED! We stayed long enough to get a few things and then we left...you guessed it, back to the Fort...aaahhh!

DD3 and DD2 took a nap, so DD9 and I hit the loops. We had lots fun, spotted VACampers site (but they were out)...and saw all of the "cute boys" DD9 could handle.

We had early dinner adr's at WL Whispering Canyon. It was packed, but a fun atmosphere. However, the food was AWEFUL!!!!! Perhaps we hit them on a bad night...but SO NOT WORTH THE $95 tab!! We couldn't really stick around to share our complaints after waiting so long for our table...dd3 and dd2 are not that patient. So, we paid the bill and left. Disappointed for the first (and only) time this trip!

Never fear...the Disney magic was not lost. We went back to DTD where we purchased AP's for the first time ever!!! We are so excited about it, but the "sticker shock" WAS a bit overwhelming, haha. Oh well, it'll be worth it! MORE TRIPS TO THE FORT!!! :thumbsup2

Day 4 to come...our first day to the parks!

Looks great! Your DD is a cutie and looks like she's really enjoying being at Disney!!!!!

Thanks PolyPixie! I have 3 of those dd's...so here is a pic to share...dd9, dd3 and dd2...more to come of day 4 tomorrow! :)
