US School holidays/Break dates

Hi. I'm not sure if this is the right thread but I wondered if anyone could let me know when, roughly, the schools in the US have their holidays in Mar, Apr & May. I know it varies between states but I just need a rough idea. If there is another thread somewhere else please just send me in the right direction!! Thanks

The general rule is that public schools have their spring breaks the week before or the week of Easter. There are some schools that don't follow this schedule, but most schools do.

Colleges and Universities have a totally different spring break schedule, and can fall any time between mid-February and April

Our spring break this year is March 10-14. School ends for us May 20th. A lot of States have added year-round schooling so the breaks are different. I'm not sure how that works? School starts for us around August 20th. Good luck planning.

My children go to a year round school. They are in 9 weeks, then out 3 weeks. There are 4 groups that rotate, so at any given time only three groups are in school.

We are in New York and for upcoming school breaks, they are as follows:

Winter Break - February 16 - 24

Easter Break - March 20 - 25

Spring Break - April 19 - 27

Memorial Day - May 22 - 26 (any snow days used will be taken away from this break)

Last day of school - June 27

Hi,

We are at a private school in Washington State, but we closely follow several surrounding public districts. Our spring break is March 31-April 4 and the kids get out for the summer on June 19. Hence the reason we are going in May.

We're in NJ and our spring break is the week of 4/19. Winter break is week of 2/16.

And our break it the 26th to May 5th. WAYYYYY to late in the year for my liking, but looks like from our ability to get the ressies we want that week that the Park won't be nearly as crowded as our usual visits

We always take the kids out of school for that week... We make 2 weeks of... 1st at the beach and 2nd at an attraction. Way less crowed!

I'll be looking for another Nh accent in the crowd.

Here's our schedule in central Louisiana. Mardi Gras - Feb 4 & Feb 5 (schools in south La are often out for the entire week). Easter - March 21 to March 30. Last day of school - May 21. Heading to WDW May 26
