Just sorting our car hire for September probably with US Rent a Car. I've always just got the inclusive insurance before, should I be getting GOLD?

Also is Budget onsite at MCO, i've not used them before?

Hi Claire
If you post your dates, car size and price I don't mind looking around for a better deal.

All Inclusive with USrentacar/Budget includes 1 additional driver so all you get extra with Gold is a tank of gas(unless you want more than 2 drivers). For shorter trips could be worth buying, for 10+ probably not, cheaper to buy a tank yourself.

Cheers Wayne! 25th September to 9th October. Only need one driver (I can't drive!). Just the 2 of us so only need an Economy car.

Best price i've seen so far is £227.05 with Alamo.

Sorry its taken a while Claire, with meal, tennis, football its been a busy night.

Ebookers have economy size with Budget £224.30 less 11% Quidco brings it down to £199.63, they have another a few £ cheaper but you don't know the reantl company til you book, I suspect its Alamo but can't be certain.

Alamo/brit deal is £227.05. possible 6.5% Quidco but not usually paid out using Brit link. If you wanted to do Alamo probably better using Quidco Alamo link at £237 and getting 6.5% cashback, maybe not worth it, it depends if you want to prepay at a fixed price now. I believe Brit deal is pay on arrival but never done it that way, I like to pay upfront.

There are another couple of sites I wanted to check but both down tonight. Will try in the morning.

No rush Wayne.

Yes i'd prefer to pay upfront as well, the Alamo price isn't the brit deal, I get a discount through work and its pay upfront.

Had a look at other sites. Ebookers is still the cheapest with Cashback or your deal thru work with Alamo without cashback.
Gold/Platinum not worth getting if only 1 driver and they want £50ish for it, a tank of gas for an economy car will be about half that.

Cheers Wayne - I'll sort it out on my lunch break.

I went with the mystery car, turns out it was dollar, this was my first time using Quidco, i've been meaning to sign up for ages, hope I did it right.

Thats a great deal if its with Dollar. I didn't expect that.
You now get a row to choose from with Dollar and many have had free upgrades with the economy, I don't think they stock that many, so I will be interested to know what you end up with.
Quidco is straight forward, hopefully you will get cashback no problem. Use it for everything, it soon adds up.

Oh thats good to know as well as might using Dollar from LAX next year.

I unfortunately can't recommend them at LAX. I have used Dollar over 20 times at MCO and never had a problem, since joining Express the service has been even better with very fast service and free upgrades.
Twice rented at LAX, 1st time very slow service(before I joined express) all going well until I said no to an upgrade, went from a freindly, charming salesman to an arrogant, horrible man.
2nd time I joined the Express line, took longer than the regular line. I wished I had moved across as when we got served the woman was as bad as the guy we saw on our previous visit. She literally threw the docs across the table and said "she signs there" referring to Karen. I have no idea how she kept her cool, almost exploded that rental.:rotfl:
I know I could have got 2 bad reps but I doubt I will try them again if we go back, too many others to use, Dollar are also offsite at LAX (not sure if any are)
